2015-2016 Lodge Officers Installed

Recently, William Morgan was elected Master of New Braunfels Masonic Lodge 1109. William Morgan succeeds Chris Balfanz at the helm of the 165 member lodge, and was installed along with the other officers at the meeting called for that purpose. In addition to Mr. Morgan, the Lodge elected Sam Merritt as Senior Warden, Ben Richardson as Junior Warden, Chris Balfanz as Treasurer and Riley Miller as Secretary. Nine additional officers were appointed.

Celebrating 100 years as a fixture in the community, New Braunfels Masonic Lodge 1109 is home to many former and current civic leaders, elected officials, and school district officials, and that list includes 5 former Mayors of the City of New Braunfels. The Lodge was chartered in 1915 and has used several locations as its home, most notably in the same downtown building where the current Phoenix Saloon is located.
